divh2Ac Technician/Electrician/h2pNational Power is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented AC Technician/Electrician to join our team in our southeastern U.S. region. Under the general direction of and reporting to the Electrical Field Manager, the Electrician will primarily be responsible for performing lead electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for National Power customers. The successful candidate will have the ability to independently assess the needs of a job based on schematics or blueprints but may also carry out assignments based on written and oral instructions./ppCore duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:/pulliInstall, repair, and service electrical systems/liliSource or fabricate replacement electrical components/liliKnowledge of the NEC and interpret blueprints and carry out work accordingly/liliGuide and oversee other electricians as necessary/liliObtain required equipment, tools, and materials for projects/liliTest and troubleshoot electrical systems/liliProvide assistance during emergencies/liliUpdate project records and prepare relevant documents and reports/li/ulpQualified candidates will possess the ability and willingness to do the following:/pulliTravel up to 100% (up to 2 weeks)/liliLift at least 75 lbs./liliPush or pull cables up to 60 lbs./liliClimb ladders up to 8 ft/liliWork/stand on ladders for long periods of time/liliStand continuously/liliFrequently reach above, below, or at shoulder level/liliFrequently bend, twist, or stoop/liliFrequently crouch or squat/liliBe exposed to a central office/cable office environment with moderate noise levels and nominal variations in heat and cold/li/ulpEducation/Experience/Skills:/pulliHigh School Diploma / GED/liliMinimum of 6 years in Commercial. (Experience in the telecommunications industry a plus)/li/ulpCompensation and Benefits:/pulliCompetitive pay depending on previous experience and current certifications. Overtime is also a factor and is paid at 1.5 X base.
