Assistant Controller | Northwest Suburbs of Chicago (In-Office)

What You'll Do as an Assistant Controller:

• Oversee and manage the vendor payables process as Assistant Controller, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Collaborate with the sales team to manage commission accruals in your role as Assistant Controller.
• Assist with month-end close activities as an Assistant Controller, ensuring timely financial reporting.
• Take part in managing P&L, budgeting, and 13-week cash flow forecasting in your Assistant Controller role.
• Handle accruals, prepaids, and post journal entries as Assistant Controller.
• Collaborate with the CFO on treasury functions and bank transactions in your Assistant Controller position.

What We’re Looking For in an Assistant Controller:

• Experience: Open to any industry background, but manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Public Accounting or Senior Accounting Experience: No CPA required, but a strong foundation in accounting practices is key.
• Career-Driven: Ideal for a Senior Accountant looking to take the next step into an Assistant Controller role.
