Clay County is accepting applications for a Full-Time Assistant County Attorney. Applicants are required to have a Juris Doctor degree and license to practice law in the State of Minnesota. Recent law school graduates, those who took the July Minnesota bar exam, and those licensed to practice law in another jurisdiction will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
Starting Salary range: $86,840.00 to $93,579.00 or negotiable depending on experience. Duties may include legal representation of the State of Minnesota and/or County of Clay in criminal matters including felony, gross misdemeanor, misdemeanor, and/or traffic offenses or civil matters including but not limited to children in need of protection or services (CHIPs), juvenile delinquencies, child support, guardianships, commitments, forfeitures, civil litigation, county department representation, and/or administrative appeals.
This position will also be eligible for Clay County’s excellent benefit package, along with opportunities for career development and personal growth.
