What You'll Do - Provide anesthesia care under the direction of an attending anesthesiologist
- Develop and manage anesthetic plans for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage recovery from anesthesia
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a specialized oncology setting
EDUCATION Required: A graduate of an anesthesiologist assistant educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Master of Science in Anesthesiology or equivalent degree.
EXPERIENCE Required: None
Preferred: Two to five years of clinical experience in a high acuity hospital, specialty hospital, academic medical center, or equivalent.
CERTIFICATION Required: All of the following: Current Certification or recertification as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA). ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
