Job Description

Our client, a dynamic logistics company, is seeking a Dispatcher to join their team. As a Dispatcher, you will be part of the operations department supporting the delivery team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and Outlook, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Dispatcher

Location: Gilroy, CA

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Coordinate the overall scheduling and dispatching of delivery operations.
• Communicate with truck drivers through computers, phones, or two-way radios.
• Assign drivers to trucks and ensure timely departures and arrivals.
• Monitor drivers' progress along their routes using available technology.
• Handle requests and complaints from customers professionally and efficiently.

What's Needed?

• Basic skills in dispatching or related experience (shipping clerk, admin clerk).
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and team members.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
