IT Help Desk Specialist

Join our dynamic team at Developmental Disabilities Resource Center in Lakewood, CO, where innovation meets compassion! As a Full-Time IT Help Desk Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our operational efficiency and ensuring that our technology supports our mission to provide exceptional support. The onsite nature of this role fosters collaboration and teamwork, allowing you to engage with colleagues in real-time and make a meaningful impact on our services. Schedule: 4 day work week = 36 hours per week

What it's like to be an IT Help Desk Specialist

As an IT Help Desk Specialist at Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, you'll be at the forefront of technology solutions, providing essential technical assistance to computer users throughout the organization. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring that our IT systems operate efficiently. You'll manage support requests and provide valuable training to end-users, enhancing their technology experience. In addition to documenting support activities through our ticketing system, you'll collaborate with fellow IT staff to address complex problems and perform critical maintenance tasks such as system updates and security patches.

You'll also oversee the management of IT equipment inventory and engage in various IT projects, contributing to technology upgrades that enhance our services. Your commitment to excellence in this role will support our mission and uphold our values of integrity and quality assurance within a professional environment.

Requirements for an IT Help Desk Specialist

To thrive in this role at the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, a combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills is essential.

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support, IT help desk, or a similar role.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with IT support tools, including ticketing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • CompTIA A+
    • Network+
    • Microsoft certifications (preferred)
