Primary Duties:

• Assist with drafting and scheduling social media content
• Design graphics and templates using Canva or similar tools
• Capture photo and video content at clinic locations and community events
• Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages as directed
• Support campaign tracking and analytics
• Stay up to date on social media trends relevant to healthcare

Other Duties:

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Visual and auditory accuracy
• Shift length - 8 hours
• Indoor setting
• Continuous use of computer and calculator
• Long periods of sitting
• Frequent use of telephone
• Continuous repetitive grasping and manipulation of both hands
• Continuous conversational communication
• Occasional reaching, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting and climbing
• Occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally working in confined, noisy, dusty areas
• Frequent use of personal car
• Understand/carry out simple/detailed, oral/written instructions
• Memorize and retain instructions
• Read and interpret detailed specifications

Qualifications

Reports To: Chief People Officer

Position Type: Temporary, Summer Help (dates flexible June August)

Hours: Part-time, depending on availability and department needs

Overview: Are you passionate about storytelling, design, and connecting with audiences online? Waco Family Medicine is looking for a creative and organized Social Media Content Creator to support our Marketing team this summer. You'll help share important health information, promote services, and celebrate the people who make our work possible across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Education & Experience: Must be 17 years of age or older. High school junior/senior or college/technical school student preferred but not required. Ideal for students or recent grads studying communications, marketing, public health, or a related field.

Skills: Strong writing and communication skills. Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools. Interest in public help, marketing, or nonprofit work. Must be organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team.
