Our engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas and code to our own platform and to other partner teams. Your Role Chewy is hiring a Software Engineer I for our Boston, MA offices. As a Software Engineer within our CPH Team, you will be doing exciting work to deliver a best-in-class experience for Chewy’s partners and internal users. Responsibilities Apply algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to produce efficient and performant code Develop, extend, and debug code within the scope of their team’s existing tools and services Complete simple design and debug tasks Troubleshoot root causes of and solutions for bugs and production issues Contribute to the team’s standard processes for logging, testing, instrumentation, metrics, monitors, alerts, practices, and processes Make meaningful contributions to the team's existing service architecture, data architecture, dev-ops, and infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines, and public cloud services as part of a software development team Participate in on-call rotations and operational excellence Minimum Qualifications 1+ years of Software Engineering experience Experience in current web application core technologies: Java, Spring, ReactJS Experience designing and integrating with RESTful APIs Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or similar technical field of study preferred), or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms Experience with React, Next.js Experience with Docker or Kubernetes Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automated testing tools Experience developing CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or similar tools Chewy is committed to equal opportunity.
