🔧 Welding Operator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Welding Operator to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of sheet metal components, ensuring that all fabricated parts meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, precision, and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on sheet metal fabrication parts

• Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless-steel components

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders

• Plan and layout welding procedures using measurements and specifications

• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions

• Monitor weld quality and complete required documentation (travelers, reports)

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Execute complex welding projects with minimal supervision

• Collaborate with quality and production teams to meet delivery schedules

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 30 lbs (up to 40 lbs occasionally)

• Push and carry materials up to 40 lbs over short distances

• Stand/stationed approximately 70% of the time

• Walk approximately 10% of the time

• Kneel, squat, bend up to 20% as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• 5+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment

• Certified welder (MIG/TIG)

• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience using precision measuring tools

• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to work early or late hours, weekends, or overtime as needed
